During this time it is essential for us to be looking out for both our physical and mental wellbeing as well as those around us. As a nation we are prone to caring for others and forgetting about ourselves until it is a much bigger problem. So today we are setting 2 challenges for you:
1. Take some time for yourself, away from others and do something just for you, not work or family related – this could be taking a long bath, reading a book or a peaceful walk.
2. If you have something eating away at you such as financial worries, work worries, health worries, family worries – make a plan. Write down what is worrying you, how you want to achieve your goal of ‘fixing this’ and if you need help – who can you turn to? A family member, a friend, medical professionals or your local Citizens Advice Bureau. Then follow through on this plan – once you have taken the initial steps you can start to feel better and look forward to a better tomorrow
